Medicaid Co-pays

The 2011 Idaho Legislature, through House Bill 260, has directed Idaho Medicaid to start requiring participants to share in the cost of their health coverage by using co-payments (co-pays). How does this affect you? Beginning January 1, 2012, this new legislation requires Moscow Family Medicine to begin charging you a co-pay of $3.65 when you receive services from us. This new co-pay is due at the time of service.  If you do not pay the co-pay when you see the provider, you will not receive services from the provider that day.

Beginning January 1, 2012, you’ll have to pay a co-pay for:
  • Physical, occupational, and speech therapy
  • All doctor’s office visits, unless the visit for preventive care or family planning
