Kyrsten Stoops, MD

Why did you choose Moscow, ID?

I grew up in Eastern Washington and I was ready to return to a smaller town with larger skies.  My husband and I also liked that Moscow is a college town and provided more of a diverse lifestyle than the typical small town.

Why did you choose family practice as your specialty?

I like the emphasis on preventative care and that I am able to coach patients to better health.  The nature of family practice is that it requires a broad knowledge base which gives me new challenges and learning opportunities that I enjoy.

WWAMI Associations

I graduated from the University of Washington Medical School and did my residency training in a U of WA affiliated program in Tacoma.  As I get settled into this practice and my community, I hope to work with the WWAMI program.

Family, Hobbies and Interests

I have two children under the age of five that (gladly) take up much of my free time these days!  My husband and I love the outdoors and enjoy taking our family camping and hiking.
